Christian Mission

We believe missions are one way of focusing our school community on the needs and relationship of others around Australia and around the world. 

Brindabella Christian College is involved in several ministries that allow our staff and students to have a “hands-on” experience while serving others in need.  Our overall mission is to be obedient to Jesus’ words “go into all the world and make disciples.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child, sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse International, is a unique programme where students take an empty shoe box and turn it into an amazing gift filled with joy for children around the world. Brindabella Christian College fully supports this programme and encourages all students to participate. In 2012, the College community filled 403 boxes. The challenge this year is to reach 600 boxes, which would represent 1 box per child at BCC.

Middle School Fundraising Venture

The Student Representative Council co-ordinate the sale of icey-cups in Summer and hot milo in Winter, to Junior and Middle School students at lunchtimes.

All money raised goes to either Noah's Arc Ministries an orphanage in Nagaland India or the Brindabella Christian College Mission Trip to Vietnam. It's amazing how something so simple and delicious can bless others lives so greatly!

Year 12 Sponsored Charities

Annually the students in Year 12 nominate a charity to support with fundraising events during the year.  A representative from the charity is invited to the Formal Evening to receive a cheque and meet the students who have worked hard to raise money.  

Since its inception in 2012 there have been two recipients:

• 2012 - Leukaemia Foundation
• 2013 - Ronald McDonald House
